The Woodshop

The center of every woodshop is the tablesaw. Much of the cutting work is done here. The saw is a 1964 Craftsman 9". The top built around it is made from 1 1/4" pinecore laminated white. It is 4' x 8'. Typical counter top construction.
The fence is a Delta 52" Unifence system. With this fence and the size of the top it is easy for 1 person to handle 4x8 sheet stock easily. Rip capacity is 52".

The router table table was built from plans published in a woodworking book. It has since been featured on Norm's New Yankee Workshop.(see local PBS listings)
The cabinet is 3/4" plywood. The top is 2 pieces of 3/4" plywood laminated together. This gives a very stable and strong surface. The top is level with the table saw making it a "helping hand" when working with large stock.

The Planer is a 15" Grizzly. It has a 2 H.P. induction motor and the power feed has 2 speeds. The table will drop allowing 6"+ stock to be planed.

The Grizzly Jointer is a 6" with a 48" bed. I have jointed 8' boards with good results. Like the Planer it is mounted on casters. This makes it easy to convert the woodshop back into a garage when the truck or tractor needs attending to.

The Grizzly Dust Collector really saves a lot of cleanup work. Its really useful when using the planer. That thing could cover the floor 1" deep in no time. For under $300 its the best work saver I've gotten since my teenager !!!
